president named chief of
surgery — 3 insights

60 Orthopedics announced March 10 that Jeffrey Silverstein,
MD, was appointed the new chief of surgery at Doctors Hospital
of Sarasota (Fla.), SRQ reports.
What you should know:
1. Dr. Silverstein is a managing partner and president of the Saraso-
ta-based 360 Orthopedics.
2. He earned his medical degree from Morgantown-based West Virgin-
ia University School of Medicine, completed a residency at University
of Illinois Chicago Medical Center and completed a fellowship at Tam-
pa-based Florida Orthopaedic Institute.
3. Dr. Silverstein will continue to treat patients at 360 Orthopedics' three
locations. n

$40M Indiana hospital
opens, providing rehab for
spine, stroke conditions

T
he Community Stroke and Rehabilitation Center
opened in March in Crown Point, Ind., provid-
ing care for patients suffering from spinal cord
injuries and neurological conditions, reports RTV6.
The $40 million multispecialty hospital is part of Mun-
ster, Ind.-based Community Healthcare System.
The center offers inpatient rehabilitation, as well as
outpatient services including urgent care, a full lab,
diagnostic testing and imaging.
CSRC is the health system's fourth nonprofit hospital.
It also includes Community Hospital in Munster, St.
Catherine Hospital in East Chicago, Ind., and St. Mary
Medical Center in Hobart, Ind. n
