Gary Malaer, CEO of Victoria, Texas-based DeTar Healthcare System, has resigned. Nikki NeSmith, CEO of Evans Memorial Hospital in Claxton, Ga., plans to resign on June 6. Charleston-based Medical University of South Carolina Health tapped David Zaas, MD, to serve as CEO of MUSC Health's Charleston division and chief clinical officer of MUSC Health. Lee Domanico, CEO of Greenbrae, Calif.- based MarinHealth Medical Center and the Marin Healthcare District that owns the hospital, is retiring in 2020. David T. Vandewater, president and CEO of Nashville, Tenn.-based Ardent Health Services, will retire this year. Don Webb, CEO of Williamson Medical Center in Franklin, Tenn., will retire at the end of this year. Mount Sinai Health System in New York City named Niyum Gandhi CFO. York (Maine) Hospital President and CEO Jud Knox has stepped down. Will McConnell, PhD, CEO of Mercy Regional Medical Center in Durango, Colo., resigned. CFO Ekerete Akpan le his role at Chicago- based Cook County Health. Brattleboro (Vt.) Memorial Hospital named Andre Bissonnette CFO. Binghamton, N.Y.-based UHS health system named Rick Borschuk senior vice president and CFO. Highlands Hospital in Connellsville, Pa., tapped Ryann Bradley as CFO. Lisle, Ill.-based Amita Health has named Richard Doug Carter CFO. Dale Farrell was selected as CFO of Fulton (Mo.) Medical Center. Nicklaus Children's Health System, the parent organization of Miami-based Nicklaus Children's Hospital, named Dawn Javersack senior vice president and CFO. Jefferson Regional in Pine Bluff, Ark., selected Jeremy Jeffery as CFO. Texas Health Hospital Mansfield, slated to open later this year, named Stephanie Nelson as its CFO. Blackfoot, Idaho-based Bingham Healthcare named Randy Nightengale CFO. Bob Rosenberger was named CFO of Heritage Valley Health System, a three- hospital system based in Beaver, Pa. James Uli was selected as senior vice president and CFO of Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego. Mark Gordon was selected as president of Alamance Regional Medical Center in Burlington, N.C., and a senior vice president with Greensboro, N.C.-based Cone Health. Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health selected Lorraine Lutton to serve as president and CEO of Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus, Ohio. Dodie McElmurray, MSN, RN, is the new CEO of University of Mississippi Medical Center Grenada and UMMC Holmes County in Lexington. Detroit Medical Center tapped David McEwen as CEO of Huron Valley- Sinai Hospital in Commerce Charter Township, Mich. Terrell Neal, RN, BSN, is the new CEO of St. Charles Parish Hospital in Luling, La. Cory Reeves was named president and CEO of AdventHealth Hendersonville (N.C.) hospital. Michael Coyle is no longer serving as CEO of Ely (Minn.)-Bloomenson Community Hospital. UP Health System–Portage in Hancock, Mich., named Ed Freysinger CEO. North Tampa Behavioral Health appointed Clint Hauger CEO of the Wesley Chapel, Fla.-based psychiatric hospital. Kate Brinn is the new president of Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center in Portsmouth, Va., and Harbour View Medical Campus in Suffolk, Va. John Dalton, president of Northern Light Inland Hospital in Waterville, Maine, and vice president of Brewer, Maine-based Northern Light Health, is retiring later this year. Kirk McCarty, MSN, RN, was tapped to serve as president and CEO of Sky Ridge Medical Center in Lone Tree, Colo. Hershey, Pa.-based Penn State Health has tapped Don McKenna to serve as president of Enola, Pa.-based Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center, a hospital slated to open next year. e boards of Chadron (Neb.) Community Hospital and Health Services and Scottsbluff, Neb.-based Regional West Health Services have tapped Nathan Hough as CEO, effective May 12. Page Vaughan, CEO of MUSC Health's Lancaster and Chester hospitals in South Carolina, is retiring, effective April 10. Dan Wakeman, president and CEO of Maumee, Ohio-based St. Luke's Hospital, will retire May 31. Orange, Calif.-based UCI Health has named Chad Leeris CEO. Barry Moss has been named CEO of Merit Health's Jackson (Miss.) Market. Michael Irvin has been appointed CEO of Palms of Pasadena Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fla., HCA Healthcare West Florida announced. e University of Toledo (Ohio) Medical Center has selected Richard Swaine to serve as CEO, effective April 17. Tara McCoy, CEO of Good Samaritan Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Fla., is resigning to pursue other opportunities, according to the hospital's owner. Delta (Colo.) County Memorial Hospital has tapped Matthew Heyn to serve as CEO. Brewer, Maine-based Northern Light Health has named Tim Dentry president and CEO. He started April 1. Jim Millard, former president and CEO of Kenmore (N.Y.) Mercy Hospital, will leave retirement to lead staffing at Buffalo, N.Y.-based Catholic Health during the coronavirus pandemic.
