In November 2018, the Missou- ri Hospital Association honored Perry County Memorial Hospital with the Clinical Excellence award in the Critical Access Hospitals and Rural Hos- pitals category. e award recognized the hospital's program developed to improve the quality of life for vulnerable older adults. River Falls Area Hospital was founded in 1939 and opened its current campus as a critical access hospital in September 1992. e hospital includes more than 250 employees and 156 physicians on staff. River Falls earned recognition from e Chartis Center for Rural Health / iVantage Health Analytics as a 2019 Top 100 Critical Access Hos- pital. River's Edge Hospital & Clinic (St. Peter, Minn.). In 2017 and 2018, the hospital earned recognition among the Top 20 Critical Access Hospitals in the nation from the National Rural Health Association.
