Five things to know about its outpatient and ambulatory busi- ness: 1. While the number of hospitals HCA Healthcare operates has stayed flat at 179, the company added three ASCs year over year, reaching 123 centers nationwide. 2. The company's outpatient surgery cases increased 1.4 percent in the fourth quarter, to reach 256,240 cases, and 3.2 percent for the full year, hitting 971,537 cases. 3. Outpatient revenue was 38.2 percent of patient revenues in the fourth quarter and the full year of 2018, relatively flat com- pared to 2017. 4. Same-facility outpatient surgery cases increased 0.8 percent in the fourth quarter and 1.8 percent in the full year, hitting 924,298. At the same time, the company's inpatient cases increased 0.1 percent for the fourth quarter and 0.8 percent for the full year. 5. The company made a $1 billion offering of senior secured notes and said proceeds could be used on acquisitions. n The Urology Group sells headquarters, surgery center property for $16.6M By Angie Stewart C incinnati-based The Urology Group sold the property housing its headquarters and surgery center for $16.6 million, the Cincinnati Business Courier reports. Here's what you should know: 1. Urology Group Real Estate Holding sold the 4.1-acre land to Southern Ohio MOB Partners of Minneapolis Dec. 14. The property is located in Norwood, Ohio. 2. It's unclear what the sale could mean for the physician group. 3. The Urology Group's 17,800-square-foot outpatient surgery center is part of a 55,000-square-foot, three- structure complex with a total market value of more than $19 million. 4. Cincinnati-based TriHealth, which owns a 15 percent stake in the surgery center, wasn't involved in The Urol- ogy Group's property sale. 5.
