Southfield, Mich.-based Beaumont Health trans- ferred operations of its home health and hospice business to a for-profit provider Kettering, Ohio- based Alternate Solutions Health Network. Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach, Fla., and Martin Health System, a three-hospital system based in Stuart, Fla., are now part of the Cleveland Clinic health system. San Francisco-based Dignity Health and Go- Health Urgent Care, purchased six urgent care centers operated by San Francisco-based Golden Gate Urgent Care. e boards of Macon, Ga.-based Navicent Health and Charlotte, N.C.-based Atrium Health ap- proved the systems' combination, bringing the organizations one step closer to finalizing their partnership. Miami-based Baptist Health South Florida and Boca Raton (Fla.) Regional Hospital signed a for- mal letter of intent to merge in 2019. A joint venture between Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Health and LHC Group, a home healthcare provider based in Lafayette, La., has ac- quired two home healthcare providers: Guardian Health Services in Hickory, N.C, and Common- wealth Home Health Care in Danville, Va. St. Joseph, Mo.-based Mosaic Life Care has reached an agreement to acquire St. Francis Hos- pital in Maryville, Mo., expanding its rural pres- ence in the state. Aer a 23-year joint operating agreement, Orlan- do (Fla.) Health will assume full control of South Lake Hospital, a 170-bed facility in Clermont, Fla. West Reading, Pa.-based Tower Health acquired Douglassville, Pa.-based Premier Urgent Care's 19 urgent care centers. Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey approved the proposed merger between Bos- ton-based Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Burlington, Mass.-based Lahey Health and three other hospital organizations, with condi- tions. Nashville, Tenn.-based Ardent Health Services signed a letter of intent to sell its interest in a 323- bed Florida hospital to Pensacola, Fla.-based Sa- cred Heart Health System, part of St. Louis-based Ascension. West Palm Beach, Fla.-based Rennova Health entered a definitive agreement to acquire 54-bed Jellico (Tenn.) Community Hospital and an out- patient clinic in Williamsburg, Ky. Orlando-based Florida Hospital — soon to be renamed AdventHealth — purchased a minori- ty share of Health First, a nonprofit community health system comprising four hospitals in Bre- vard County, Fla. Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Health has completed its merger with RCCH HealthCare Partners, which is owned by Apollo Global Man- agement. Knoxville, Tenn.-based Curae Health and its three hospitals in Mississippi entered Chapter 11 bank- ruptcy protection in August. Now, Tupelo-based North Mississippi Health Services is slated to take over one of Curae's hospitals. Hospital and health system executive Moves TriStar Hendersonville (Tenn.) Medical Center selected Stephen Bearden to serve as CFO. Kalamazoo, Mich.-based Ascension Borgess Hospital appointed Peter Bergmann president, effective Feb. 11. Covington, La.-based Lakeview Re- gional Medical Center, a campus of New Orleans-based Tulane Medical Center, named Stacey O'Connell CFO. Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare ap- pointed Tim Puthoff CEO of its Ala- bama and Tennessee Group as well as CEO of Birmingham, Ala.-based Brookwood Baptist Medical Center. John Scherpf will serve as CEO of Banner-University Medical Center Tuc- son (Ariz.) and Banner-University Med- ical Center South, also in Tucson. St. Louis-based Ascension's Florida re- gion named Kim Shrewsbury as CFO. Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Health appointed Cherie Sibley presi- dent of its Central Division.
