Compass Surgical Partners,
5 surgeons partner to build
orthopedic-focused ASC — 5 details

C
onstruction is underway on the Fort Myers, Fla.-based
Performance Health Surgery Center, a joint venture
between Raleigh, N.C.-based Compass Surgical Partners
and five surgeons.
Here are five details:
1. The 17,000-square-foot ASC will be dedicated to orthopedic
and spine procedures.
2. It will feature four operating rooms and 17 beds.
3. Construction is expected to wrap up in late 2018.
4. The surgeon group involved in the partnership comprises
Edward Humbert, DO, Dennis Sagini, MD, James Bynum, MD,
David Eichten, DO, and Jeffrey Henn, MD.
5. Stevens Construction is managing the construction project.
The company has completed nine other surgical facilities. n

T
hree surgery centers joined the Nashville, Tenn.-
based Surgery Partners network.
Here's what you should know about the three new
affiliates:
1. Spring Hill (Tenn.) Surgery Center features two surgi-
cal suites and a procedure room. e Joint Commission
accredited the ASC.
2. Omaha, Neb.-based Advanced Surgery Center is a
service-oriented surgery center. Every year, staff mem-
bers donate thousands of diapers and baby wipes to local
homeless shelters.
3. Houma, La.-based Gulf Coast Surgical Center is a
Medicare-certified ASC with surgeons specializing in
orthopedic, otolaryngology, pain management, urology,
gastroenterology, neurology, pediatric dental and oral and
maxillofacial procedures. e center opened in 2007. n
