Executive Moves and CEO Kevin H. Mosser, MD, plans to retire at the end of 2018. Philadelphia-based University of Pennsyl- vania Health System CEO Ralph W. Muller plans on leaving the role in June 2019, after 17 years at the helm. Oklahoma City-based Integris Health, an eight-hospital system, selected Timothy Pehrson to serve as president and CEO, effective Aug. 1. Baltimore-based University of Maryland Medical System appointed Sherry B. Per- kins, PhD, RN, president and CEO of Ch- everly, Md.-based University of Maryland Capital Region Health. Rapid City, S.D.-based Regional Health CEO Brent Phillips stepped down from his role, effective immediately, due to a personnel issue. Rodney Reider, president and CEO of Boise, Idaho-based Saint Alphonsus Health System stepped down July 30. CHI Memorial in Chattanooga, Tenn., appointed Janelle Reilly market CEO. Pamela Robertson, president and CEO of Kalispell (Mont.) Regional Healthcare, is resigning Nov. 30. John Serle, who led Pasco, Wash.-based Lourdes Health Network as CEO for the last 13 years, stepped down after Brent- wood, Tenn.-based RCCH HealthCare Partners completed its purchase of the system. Brentwood, Tenn.-based RCCH Health- Care Partners appointed John Solheim CEO of Trios Health in Kennewick, Wash. Marriottsville, Md.-based Bon Secours Health System and Cincinnati-based Mercy Health named John M. Starcher, Jr. president and CEO of Bon Secours Mercy Health when the two organizations merge in the fall. UnityPoint Health-Des Moines (Iowa) named David Stark president and CEO, effective July 1. John Strange, president and CEO of Du- luth, Minn.-based St. Luke's Health Care System, plans to retire in July 2019. Art Ushijima, president and CEO of The Queen's Health Systems in Honolulu, Ha- waii, will retire in January 2020. St. Louis-based Ascension named Keith Vander Kolk health system president and CEO of its Baltimore/Washington Ministry Market. Maywood, Ill.-based Loyola Medicine named Shawn P. Vincent president and CEO, effective Nov. 5. Joel Wernick, president and CEO of Albany, Ga.-based Phoebe Putney Health System, will retire in May 2019. President Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey (Pa.) Medical Center appointed Deborah A. Berini president of the hospital, effective Sept. 17. New York City-based NewYork-Presbyte- rian tapped Robert Guimento to serve as president of NewYork-Presbyterian Brook- lyn Methodist Hospital in New York City. David S. Guzick, MD, PhD, senior vice president for health affairs and president of Gainesville-based University of Florida Health, is stepping down July 1. Fred Kniffin, MD, president of UVM Health Network's Porter Medical Center in Middlebury, Vt., is resigning, effective in spring 2019. Boston-based Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital selected David Mc- Cready to serve as president. Dallas-based Baylor Scott & White Health named Steven R. Newton president of Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, effective July 9. Dallas-based Methodist Health System appointed John Phillips president of Meth- odist Dallas Medical Center. Manassas, Va.-based Novant Health UVA Health System tapped Steve Smith, MD, to become president and COO at Prince William Medical Center in Manassas and Haymarket (Va.) Medical Center. Des Moines, Iowa-based Mercy Health Network named Kay Takes president. CFO Miami-based Baptist Health South Florida selected Matthew Arsenault to serve as executive vice president and CFO. St. Peter's Health in Helena, Mont., named Nate Coburn CFO. Akron, Ohio-based Summa Health appointed Keith Coleman senior vice presi- dent and CFO, effective June 25. Erie, Pa.-based UPMC Hamot CFO Steve Danch retired July 31. UnityPoint Health-Des Moines (Iowa) named Mike Dewerff senior vice president and CFO, effective Sept. 17. HCA's TriStar Division in Brentwood, Tenn., selected Wes Fountain to serve as CFO. Kansas City-based University of Kansas Health System appointed Doug Gaston permanent senior vice president and CFO. Nashville, Tenn.-based Saint Thomas Health selected Pam Hess to serve as CFO of Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital and Saint Thomas West Hospital, both in Nashville. Portland, Ore.-based Legacy Health ap- pointed Anna Loomis as senior vice presi- dent and CFO, effective in mid-September. COO Madison-based University of Wisconsin Health, a seven-hospital system, appointed Elizabeth T. Bolt COO. Jim Dietsche, executive vice president and CFO of Green Bay, Wis.-based Bellin Health, will also serve as its COO, under a new service delivery structure. Pittsburgh-based Highmark Health appointed Karen Hanlon COO, a newly created role. Gilbert Clinic in Bowling Green, Ky., se- lected Shane Lacaillade to serve as COO.
